Thick coats will melt/craze plastic, just like dope will.

When you start talking about thin vacuform wraps, it's pretty hard to shoot the primer that thin. I tried Rustoleum on a scrap piece from the Apogee Saturn V wraps and if the coat was thick enough to be visible, the thin plastic started to distort...
That's when I stopped using it...
