Thanks for the reply.
Mike P. Is responsible for all the really nice looking birds. Amazingly, he has been at this for only 10 months! His build and finishing techniques are impeccable, placing all of his models in the "show" category. Though hard to see in the photos, many of his birds have a candy finish with a lot of depth and sparkle. Also, his flying techniques place him in the same ranks as seasoned veterans of the hobby. I constantly ask him if he hasn't been doing this for a couple of decades or so. He denies it!

I've been at it for 46 years, but my birds look like someone who has been at it for 10 months finished them.

Bill, On a positive note, if you lose a “less than perfect” rocket to a tree, the pain is not so bad … Ed, I really want to get down to Castle Rock and launch a few with you! And I just have to see Mike’s beautiful rockets in person.

Hi, Lee,
I'm hoping there will be at least one more launch before the end of the year. Hope you can make the trek down here. I definitely will be glad when we can get back to our normal launches at Dove Valley again. Got to get something good going in that part of town. The Broncos are certainly stinking up the place! Bill, Don't forget CATOs and dumb rookie mistakes So many things stacked against us....
