I think they make a little blue pill...but I''m not sure it works for rockets.

D12-5 that looked and sounded great on the way up, then nothing. We were waiting for the chute and someone at the end of the flightline said it had landed in the ballfield behind us. Sure enough, I could see it laying there, but it looked like it had stripped the chute, a brand new bright green nylon one. Once I got close enough to see the truth, I was truly bummed. The Sentinel was one of my favorite builds. I built it around the time we moved, so it's around 18 years old. It won't see 19.

Not the classic D12-infinity? I've had far too many of those lately, and they always seem to pop up in a kit not easily replaced! Had to replace the nose and payload bay on my Maxi Icarus, plus do a little "tube graft" on the body, followed by a hand-sprayed forward roll pattern. A lot of effort, but dangit those are hard to find! Hope you find a replacement Sentinel. Good-looking kit and obviously a real workhorse for you! |

This one had an ejection charge, but it was apparently like a church fart. I thought about trying to do the tube graft that you talked about, but the tube was split way down past the mid-body strakes. I might look again and decide it can be done, but it seems like it would be easier to just rebuild.
