Background Information brief: The Centuri Point was initially released in 1969. It was designed to show that a model rocket did not have to look like a rocket to fly. Basically a cone shape, it taught some principles of stability. It also showed that the rocket could be used as its own “chute.” The Point did not stay on the market long, disappearing from the 1972 catalog, but its look and appeal was definitely vintage Centuri. The Centuri Point was introduced as catalog #KC-13 and had an initial price of $1.50.
The Semroc PointTM is a faithful recreation of the original. It uses a precision shaped balsa nose cone. Laser-cut balsa fins are included instead of the original blank sheet with a fin pattern sheet. The canopy was changed to self-adhesive from the original water-based glue. A high gloss full color shroud is provided so there is very little left to paint. An elastic cord is provided instead of the original rubber shock cord.

Looking forward to NARAM-48!
We are packing up for NARAM-48 now. I can't believe it is so close. We have been preparing for this since we got home from NARCON. Semroc is proud to again sponsor the Division A trophies for this NARAM.
Six New Kits
Finally, we have finished many of our kits that have been "in the works" for so long. Four of our new kits are the final members of the original Centuri Large Scale Series. They are the SLS Hustler, SLS Aero-Dart, SLS Explorer, and SLS Lil' Hustler. Since we found out that NARAM-48 would be held at the home of Centuri, we wanted to get all six of these classics back in the Phoenix skies again! We will be launching several other Centuri classics and hope you will join us with your Centuri classics if you are planning on attending this NARAM. We hope we can fly a lot of them on Sunday morning at the sport launch. The Taurus and the Point fill out our new line.
