I've seen some people use Monokote trim tape to wrap it. I'm thinking about either that or actual MK shrinkable. Any advice which way to go?

The silver/white Nike Ram clone I made fifteen years ago (Has it been that long?!) used a wrap of trim Monokote around the lower body tube. Between then and now the wrap has started to wrinkle. 
I was working on some more Enerjet clones over the course of the past year and discovered that one of the Tamiya 'TS' series of paints had a color which was indistinguishable from the trim Monokote color. I will have to look through my paint in the garage and post what it is this coming weekend.
