Default I finished another old project

Those is another one that's been in my garage for at least 10 years..

I had to make decals for it because the originals were damaged.

Who is that kit by Stan? Looks a great deal like the old Centuri Starfire; the one they pitched as a parachute duration bird.

Looks good!

I remember these being on the hooks at Johnny's when I'd stop and check out the rocket section before I realized that other adults still flew rockets.

For comparison, here is the Centuri Starfire, this graphic from their '72 catalog. Certainly looks like the latter was drawn from the former.

almost certainly recycled by Mike Dorffler, or maybe another. Why the name change, tho?

Well, for one thing the Starfire is an ST-8-based kit and Calypso is BT-50, based on the catalog page shot. So that Calypso is sort of slight upscale Starfire.

Download the kit list PDF on YORS. Go to the Adobe website and use the online converter to convert it to a spreadsheet (.xlsx) file. Once you do that, you can alphabetize the kit names (column C) and find them in a jiffy! If you don't have Microsoft Office, LibreOffice is free and has a good spreadsheet program that will do all you need.

Or you could just use ctrl-f and search the .pdf file directly...

Mine’s not as perty as yor’n, but it’s in the ‘to be painted’ line-up.
Always thought the Centuri ‘Starfire’ that Calypso was based on was their answer
To the Estes ‘Drifter’, one of my favorites. Never got to use the 24” chute the
Drifter came with; lost it with the 12” chute and a B4-6. Still have the original 24” with the Space Ship logo.

(Edit: forgot to attach the photo to the original post.)
