Yeah.... my kit stash is already so large because I've been in the habit of buying at least two of everything that I really need to rethink and start getting rid of backups for seldom flown models and multiple examples of models I've not even built yet. I may actually just order one of these from Penrose at full list (but free shipping) and be done with it. It would be cool to have one ready for Sod Blaster IV over Labor Day weekend.

As for what Bob just posted above... I'm not sure if that's a typo or some kind of slip-of-the-fingers....

Added: just ordered one from Penrose. Whether I buy another will depend on how this one works out for me.

I'd like to say I bought them all, but I only got two.

Dang! I’m glad I didn’t hesitate. Maybe it will be waiting for me when I return home from the job I’m on in the Carolinas. It is HOT down here! INDIA HOT!

“Welcome to tha South thaya, young man. Hopin’ ya enjoy ya stay! Yep, it is hotta than hale here during summa time! You just grin and take it now, ya hee-ah!”

Seriously, AC is not a luxury down this way (BTW, I’m ‘next door in GA), it is a necessity. Elderly and infirmed unfortunately die in this kind of heat without AC. Be careful and watch your heat stress levels. That heat AND humidity can sneak up on you before you realize it, especially if you are not used to it.

I hear you! I retired 9 years ago, and my unbuilt kit qty has more than doubled.

Unless I live to 100, maybe it’s time to start selling some before I “retire to the afterlife”.

Scary thought. May just go to my happy place and order the new Super Orbital Transport…

Bernie, if your build pile is anything like mine, waiting a few weeks (or years) won't make much difference

I recently moved, which demonstrated rather shockingly just how many unbuilt kits I have (that I plan to build, there are many, many more that I'm hording - e.g. Estes Saturn V kits).

I really like that 1/12th scale MRC Mercury capsule kit (that I've used as a basis for my 6" Mercury Redstone). I wanted a spare kit in case I pranged the MR, plus I have plans to do a 1/12th Little Joe and Mercury Atlas and was worried that the kit would go OOP. So I bought a 'few'. Turns out I have eight unopened kits

Tim, your post made me smile.

I have a spreadsheet that contains almost all of my unbuilt kits (it doesn't include some of the Alphas from my attempt to document its evolution, or a couple of bulk boxes of kits) but it currently shows 541 kits on hand....

Yeah, moving is not something I would look forward to.

Over a thousand for me. My sweet wife put together a neat program to keep them organized. A lot of bins...
