Hoo boy, you'd definitely need the E60! Mine weighs nearly 3 lbs. Would you turn your own NCs? Nice thing about 2.6" is accurate upscale Semroc balsa NCs.

It would definitely exceed the maximum propellant wt. for a "model rocket" . . . It would fly as an HPR model.

I would probably use Balsa over a Styrofoam core, to save $ on the wood, for the nose cones.
