Default Early NAR/NARAM eBay Photos

Did anyone here get this lot? I saw it early yesterday and put it on my watch list, but was then out of pocket from yesterday afternoon to the wee hours of the a.m. this morning. It sold during that interim.

Looks like a number of black and while NAR-related enlargements and some slides. Not sure where these would have come from. Interesting lot, but it is sold so not sure who got it.

Anyone know what these may have been used for? I’m wondering if they may have been owned by someone who either worked on the various forms of the NAR magazine (Model Rocketeer as it would have been named in this era), or a NAR local section newsletter. I recognize Matt Steele in one photo and Chris Pocock with one of his Jayhawks models in another photo. Some other faces look familiar but I do not know the names.

eBay link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1154908500...=p2047675.l2557

If anyone knows who these *might* have belonged to or have insights on some of the names on the backs of the photos, please provide what you know here.

Earl

Wow Earl. Hopefully whoever got this will post the photos someday.

If you want to see some of the images from the Stine Collection in Seattle here's a link. It would be interesting to know the origin of that collection you mention.

BTW there is some shocking stuff in the collection, like Ed Lacroix with hair!

A significant fraction of the photos show people who have yet to be identified. If you see somebody you can identify please send an email to the MOF archivist Charise. cdinges@museumofflight.org

Great collection! I’d never seen a photo Vern Estes with a beard.

Others have referred to that as Vern's "Abe Lincoln years".

eBay does not make it easy, but it may be possible to figure out who bought them by looking at rocket bidders and sellers.
