I saw that one too last week, but checked earlier today and saw, as you stated, that it was gone. I did not place it on my watch list, so I was not sure how much it went for.
I know Randy has been whittling down the heavy walled tubing used for those kits, but looks like at least the main BT is still available: https://www.erockets.biz/semroc-bod...0-discontinued/ Not a great deal else though from what a quick search shows. Might be worth checking though, as I might have missed some parts that ARE still available. OR….someone will come forward who does have a complete kit. Earl

I have 3.
A built kit, an unopened kit, and a boxed prototype kit from Carl. NONE are for sale however. The built kit has flown 3 times. Once on an Aerotech D15-4T, once on an E30-4T and once on an Estes F15-6.

There was a nice sealed kit that went for $99 just recently on eBay.
The problem is the upper payload tube was LT225, which no longer exists. Of course, the balsa nose cone and transition also are gone. |

Not impossible to clone, either by rolling your own tubes or compromising with existing tubes. BT-70H and Aerotech 1.88 tubes will get you very close to the original diameters. The transition and nose cone can be made with a lathe or 3D printing.

I might have some 225 tube to sell. Also, a hand-turned cone suitable for a Hustler. Not my best effort but usable. Years ago, pre-Semroc, I cloned a Aero-Dart, Hustler, and Explorer using hand-turned parts, Aerotech 1.88 tube, and some 225 tube I lucked into.
If you want a slightly downscale Hustler, you can use BT-60 and BT-70. I made one and called it the Mrs. Hustler. It flies nicely on a D12-5, E12-6. See picture.

Balsa cones and transitions are no problem … as long as they are under 3” in diameter. Bigger balsa blocks are really expensive now. This transition is BT-60 to BT-55. S 2x2x12 block runs around $10-12.

Thanks so much to those of you who have suggested alternatives and resources.
I have some LT-175, and it is still available in long lengths from eRockets - at a great discount, actually. LT-225 is tough. A (fireworks?) company called firefox-fx apparently will sell me a bunch, cheap. They also have some kind of unspecified balsa BNC-225 for it, also cheap but not in stock currently. In addition to having no LT-225 tube, eRockets has a single nosecone and single reducer, neither of which is correct. So those might be the tough too. If you shift your LT-225 to a BTH-70 (4% smaller), you do get some available ogive nosecone choices - though expensive! But the reducer remains a problem. So while I am aware of some of these options, I am holding BT fabrication and balsa turning in reserve for now, and trying to keep my ears open for a kit - hence my post. Focus on other projects and be patient, ideally. For those helpfully chiming in that they own several kits and will not sell me one, well, good for you I guess.
