I built a couple
then gave them away at Thunda Down Under's Fly It Take It thingy. Sadly, I didn't get to see if either flew. I swing tested them both while loaded with C6s so they would have been fine.
I got the Fatboy plans from YORP, and the other was a cross between something I saw on YORP and the old Polecat Spike. The Fatboy was brush painted with blackboard paint (the can showed green, but was black inside) and I gave a packet of coloured chalk with it. I figured the kid would enjoy decorating it themselves. |

Kind of like the old WWII artillery rounds I've seen pics of.

What, in that "jungle" setting, the metal-like/industrial finish—they do have that aspect. Neat. Sorry you didn't get to see them fly, but good on you for making some children's day.

Thanks, guys. That's kind of my secret "I've run out of time to do something else" paint style. Just lay down a base coat then use another colour rattle can and overspray without creating a full coat. I think I used the silver over matte black for that one.
