Now to fix the gap.
First, I measure the width of the gap precisely and slit a strip from a scrap piece of plastic from the trimming of the wraps. I then use 30 min. epoxy to mount it into the gap. I then press Squadron Green into the slot using a 1/4" flexible putty spatula. I'll let the Squadron Green harden overnight. TBC

Back to the model at last!
I then sand the putty smooth--and now for some technique: Using Evergreen .060" half round styrene strips I fill the top and bottom gaps of the corrugated sections. After the Plastruct welder is done doing it's thing and the strips are hard again, I trim, shape, and sand the added strips. Primer and paint should cover the worse of the flaws of the fix. After it's primered, if the added strips appear too proud I'll scrape and shape them even more. Yeah, yeah, I know. This makes the scale number of corrugations incorrect. Do I care? No. TBC

With the short wraps, I hope your various fairings line up correctly with the roll patterns. I've run into that issue with my #2001 kit.

I’ve built several SV #2001 kits over the years and I Don’t remember EVER having a textured card stock wrap that was too short. Too long—yes, but never too short.

Some of us don't even care about the small gap either and would do ZERO about it.

I know. It's a sickness. OK. I'm back home from NARAM 61 and I have some time to work on the #1969. After shooting the stage with gray primer and letting it dry overnight I then do some surgical sanding of the corrected area. TBC

and .....Voila!
The stage has been shot with white primer and a top coat of gloss white. Is it perfect? Nope. Do I care? Not any more. TBC

requesting verification, please
The #1969 box photo shows this as the orientation between the 3rd stage and the LEM shroud. Is it correct? I haven't glued them together yet.
Thanks! TBC
