Peter Alway Scale Bash - Blossom V-2
Not sure of the exact age of this build, but it does go back to the aughts, likely 2003-04. I found a dusty old Estes V-2 in a pretty much forgotten hobby shop where I'd satiated my lust for car models in the 1980's. They'd moved since then, at least twice, and the location where this was found was a huge surprise to me. I found it at the same time that I bought my copy of Scale Bash, and the Blossom caught my eye right away. After leaving it in dry fit mode for about a decade, I got serious about it and did the fillets, then let them cure for seven or eight years. A couple of weeks ago it got the first coat of gloss white, then yesterday I did the nose cone in silver. Tomorrow I start masking the fins for the black, and I have striping tape to hopefully have it ready to fly by next weekend, when I'm thinking there may be a launch in Dayton.
I guess I need to get working on the BT-50 Wasserfall once this one is done.
