working right now on restoring my original USR Mongrel, and may have to build a clone of the original to go with.

Thanks for the welcome back s... been a long strange trip.. life isues, etc etc - mygrandkids are 7 and 10 and want to fly some, so dug stuff back out and....
Have kept lurking on the Fb pages but not building or flying much ( did fly a few at Nypower 2018 ).
STILL have a huge interest in early days of HPR, so this thread certainly caught my eye when I popped back in.
Also good to see that you got info from both Chris and Curt, two of the early pioneers, who I imagine have a wealth of info (and stories ).

will be watching.

Any updates here lately? I've also looked into cloning some OOP rockets like the mongrel.

I do have updates and enough info for anyone to clone one. Chris Pearson built one, and I have all the pieces and parts for one accumulated in a box, ready to build. Maybe this summer...
