Default Build it out or Ebay it

Hi gents. I am just getting into RBG and have a Estes Astroblaster I found on Ebay UK still in the box and virgin as the driven snow. My question is I found this little thing here in Denver Colorado at an out of the way eclectic hobby shop and wanted to get back some opinions of what I should do with it? Is it worth letting go to Ebay or should I use it as a test flyer to get my skills down before tackling the Astroblaster?

It's different enough from the AstroBlaster in both building techniques and flying characteristics to make it completely different.

Now having another RC RG is never a bad thing, so you should consider keeping it and flying it in its own right.

Or sell it.

If you do build it, PLEASE scan a copy of the instructions and parts list.

That's the Centurian T-25, which is an ARF version of the full kit Stratoblaster. There won't be parts to measure or assembly instructions outside of installing radio equipment, etc.

I'd vote for selling it, no doubt. It's got decent value to collectors. As something to actually build and fly, though, it's pretty poopy in terms of performance, especially for the money it represents. Sell it and use the proceeds to buy something decent, plus use the leftover money towards radio gear.

Heck, you might even see if you could trade it for a Sweet Vee, another collectible but at least one that flies and glides very nicely.

I think you better sell it. Probably too much for a beginner RC flyer. It says "Supersonic Liftoffs!" on the cover.

Definitely not for a beginner. Get an electric foam flying wing and get good at flying and doing deadstick landings first.
