Nope, not me.
It sold for full price of $350.
$250 was tops I was willing to go, and that was only due to the #7kp being in it.

It was pricey no doubt, but a nice display set.

On those ‘best offer’ things, typically the listing will not state the final selling price. It will say something like ‘best offer accepted’, but will still show the original listing price. At least the ones where I have made an offer and it was accepted by the seller, the original listing price was not changed at closing to reflect the final price I paid. I don’t sell on eBay, so maybe someone here who does can offer more definitive details.

'Sue', who has helped several of us with various Xacto tool searches and info, has posted a decent array of custom Xacto tool sets on eBay recently, with what I think are some fairly decent prices.

This is a totally unsolicited plug for her ebay offerings. She is fair dealing and trustworthy in her sales, as can be attested by several of us here on YORF.

Anybody ever see a long-handled Xacto knife like this one? The seller calls it a #5, but it looks more like a #2 knife with a #5 type grip on it. I’ve never seen one like this before.

This seller has an interesting collection of Xacto display cases and tool sets for sale, none of them cheap but several of them unique. You’ll need to scroll down 6-7 items to get to the Xacto items.

Not my listing nor do I know the lister.

That long #5 handle looks like some sort of home-brew rigged contraption of a #2 knife jammed in a bored-out #5 handle. The ferrule looks distinctly #2.
You might consider asking Sue her opinion.

That guy on ebay with all the overpriced Xacto display items has been peddling them for months to no avail. His prices are just simply too high.
The 98L leathercraft set has the #5L and #6L handles I want, but am not paying the $195 he is asking. That thing has been listed for almost a year. You would think he would get a clue.
The one dealer counter display that he wants $195 for was actually FREE to all dealers.

Yes, several of those Xacto dealer display cases have been on eBay for a while. The sets of tools in the vintage yellow and red packaging are new though. Still a bit pricey, but thought there might be interest possibly in some of those items. You never know what someone just might be looking for....

He had some sets of blades, etc in the red/yellow packaging a while back, but agree these assortments are new.
The only display he has sold had the extremely rare #7kp pencil-knife in it.
That one sold within a week of posting it. That contained the only actual sample of the #7kp I have ever seen. Even Sue had never seen an actual example of that one.

I'm also still keeping an eye out for Xacto catalogs, but I have not found a 'new' one (new to us) in quite a while. I keep looking though. There was a '66-'67 listed on ebay a couple weeks ago, but we already have that one.
