Default New Design - Double Shot

Actually, I don't know if I designed this or got it from somewhere. But I didn't see the name in this forum.

It's a great dual 24mm cluster that puts in some high flights and good DV numbers,

I'll be building this one after Thanksgiving - I've already ordered what I need from Apogee.

Enjoy!

Nice design. Has that Estes Avenger look to it...

Have you double-clicked on the simulation results to see the Launch Guide Data in the full summary? The C11 and D12 need a 48" rod, rail, or tower to reach safe flight V, while the E9 needs more than 60 inches of guide length.

OTOH, if you're willing to beef up the recovery components and reef the chute, try upping the engine power to dual E18, E28, or E30. All three of these need less than 30 inches of guide (a much better "get-up-and-go"), and punch it to 1600'...

Good catch, I forgot to check that. I've redone it a little with smaller fins. Higher DVs, but reasonable launch rod lengths (46" on the E9s). C-11s give pretty high DVs so I wouldn't recommend those.

Just for fun, I made it a triple 24mm cluster. Got some GREAT height numbers, very good DVs and exceptional DVs.

Enjoy! Again!
