Are you aware of any decent sources of Scout detail close-up? My online searches haven't turned up much.

Sorry, no. Short of sneaking into the rocket garden at the Air & Space museum to take some nice closeup pics.

"The Vixen" and I were at KSC in April of 2017. Here's a couple of photos of the rocket garden that have the LTV Scout in it but for some reason the top section of the rocket was missing.
