Default YAS1BB (Yet Another Saturn 1B Build)

I've been laying out the pages of my book so I needed to finish my most recent changes to the Semroc Saturn 1B to get some photos. Here's a shot of my most recent build for any of you who care.

Mario it's beautiful. How did you get all of the detail lines on there? They really make a huge difference in the look of the model.

Nicely done, Mario.

Did you use printer paper wraps for the fuel tubes, SM, and LM shroud?

The Service Module, the LEM Adapter and the fuel tanks are all covered with a custom set of water-slide decals. The fins and a few of the surface details were resin cast parts. I used the Apogee Apollo capsule kit because I've grown tired of building escape towers.

The title of this thread is incorrect. There is no such thing as "Yet Another Saturn 1B Build." It's more like "Sweet! Another Saturn 1B Build!"

Any thoughts on maybe posting those decal images, Mario? I'd especially be interested in seeing the SM decal...

They will definitely be posted to the web as part of my book. There are two versions of the decals somewhere on my system; one set for the standard kit and one for the modified kit with the scale fins. I'll be collecting and preparing all those files as soon as I'm finished with page layout.
