I didn't have time to read the whole article so I hope I'm not being redundant. They started "painting" the starlink sats black to help minimize the problem, which won't cure it, but hopefully will help.

The semi-humorous part about this is Musk has put in orbit around 2,000 and I think they are shooting for around 4,000 Starlink sats. That's a lot, but it's a drop in the bucket compared to the tens of thousands of working and dead satellites and discarded stages and big chunks of debris, and jetsam left behind from decades of USA, USSR, ESA, and China launches.
