Default Question re Shipping Envelopes in the US

OK, I'm sure somebody here can offer some insight on this...........can you guys just use stamps to mail an envelope by USPS? I'm assuming the answer is 'yes'. And if so, what are the limitations on the envelope? For example, can you mail an 8 1/2 by 11 manila envelope via USPS first class mail using stamps? Finally, if so, what would be the approximate cost to do that to Canada?

Several years back, I won a Holverson Slider Jr. launch pad in an eBay auction. The person wrapped the original box in paper and stuck stamps over every exposed inch of the package. Vintage commemoratives, very old $.03 stamps, etc. Whatever the postage was, they added up to it exactly and the package made it no trouble. I'm not up on Canadian Postal law, but I would have to think that as long as you pay what they say you owe, you should be good.

US Postal Service Retail Calculator: https://postcalc.usps.com/

Canada Post Postage Calculator: https://www.canadapost-postescanada...?execution=e1s1

We frequently send 9" x 12" envelopes full of paperwork hither and yon with stamps. Cost depends on weight, of course. Use the "Stamped Flats" slot in the drop area at the post office. Cheers!
