I found this drawing while doing some research
This I think was supposed to be a North American Aviation concept of a long range Bomarc.
This would make a really cool "Future Fiction" model. That Canard is pretty big!

Just make it so the canard can rotate freely and it won't affect the CP

This is what I drew up loosely based on the concept picture.
It has BT-50 ram jets and a BT-70 main body' Long nose cone is 9.4" long will obviously need to be hollowed out for nose weight. There are a LOT of balsa parts! Three ram jet cones, three ram jet tail cones. That's a lot of balsa! Overall length is about 19". Now...what would be the color scheme and markings? The BOMARC was a Boeing design and this is from North American... It kinda reminds me of the Ark ship from "When Worlds Collide". It does need a bit of tweaking.

My first thought is to adapt colors and decals of other North American test vehicles of that general era. However, most of their jet aircraft were polished aluminum and I imagine both the BOMARC and this vehicle design may have used some unusual materials for panels, leading edges, etc. with different colors. I've never seen any BOMARC missiles painted in such a way that I thought they were test rounds, but that doesn't mean the photos don't exist.

From the drawing I believe the "wing" is level as is the canard. |

Yes, no anhedral. I just drew it like that to get a better idea of the wing shape. Although I may add anhedral just for stability...this is just a concept for now. It looks very 1950's sci fi.

The fuselage of your drawing looks a little thicker than the photo to me, and maybe a little shorter in relation also. I think it has a slight boat tail so the length/dia. ratio may just be an illusion to me.

I just used a standard tube size. A BT-70. Maybe an ST-10 (2.04"). A BT-60 would be too small. Or maybe a BT-5 or BT-20 with a BT-60. Let me play some more. After all it's a concept of a concept.

OK, new drawing.
A BT-60 body tube and BT-50 Ram Jets. It looks like the lower nacelles are attached to the body not the wings. I zoomed in on the pic and there doesn't appear to be a tail cone.
