Cloning guidance on Estes 1338 Estes Space Transporter America
I started collecting the parts to Clone the 1338 Estes Space Transporter America. I could not find any build threads on cloning this one. What do you suggest I use for the Corrugated wraps. Was looking at PLASTIC PATTERN SHEETS http://miniaturetree.com/67-plastic-pattern-sheets but impossible to tell what will work.

I have a original kit.
Those parts are unique to the kit to the best of my knowledge. Probably why you don't see it cloned.

At a NARAM in Pueblo, CO in 2018, the Flying I Beam Team flew an Estes Space Transport America model in the event of flying historic kits. The model was built by John Brohm and was Exquiste. He used some plastic sheeting for the wrap. (just saw that Astronwolf posted the build thread).
I was entering as an individual and built the kit stock. I did not finish the build due to the decals not co-operating before the entry deadline. I have a set of decals on order from CMR Decals to, hopefully, finish the kit. My one "claim to fame" was to punch out and install red "engine covers" on the removable engine display. Wish they would bring this kit back. Chas

Those wraps are fairly simple. I did some experimentation making wraps using an embossing tool and a paper cutter some time ago. https://www.oldrocketforum.com/showthread.php?t=5471 Scroll down to post #8. I showed it to some DARS members as well as to Carl. He and I discussed the possibility to build a CNC machine to do that... If I was to do that today, I would print parallel lines onto the cardstock to guide the embossing. Bill

Thanks Bill those are great. Will give it a try, before I go the plastic sheeting route.

The Estes Space Transporter America is one of my favorite models, and one of my favorite builds. I share Chas' view - if you like building, then the STA would make a great bring-back kit.
I'm not sure I ever posted my actual build article for the model, so I've attached it, below. This is a slightly edited version of the article that appeared in our club newsletter some years ago. Apologies to Scott if this is a duplicate. Hope it can be of help to prospective STA cloners!
