The Estes Mark II was one of the few rockets we could afford back in the day, so it is still special to me.
Does anyone sell the JT-30-C coupler for cloning the Estes Mark II? |

Oh...also if you select the fin set on the Semroc website linked to the Estes Mark II you get the fin set for the Rock-A-Chute Mark II.
Maybe we could get Carl to fix that. |

E-mail Carl the Great and Powerful to point out an error and risk being banned from Semroc for all eternity.
NOT WORTHY! (..ok I did it anyway) |

A Rocksim design file for the Mark II is at:
http://www.rocketreviews.com/rocksim-estes-mark-ii.html My first rocket was one I built as a class project in the sixth grade. For years I had remembered building an Alpha. Then someone posted a photo of a Mark II (with the distinctive scalloped decal) in one of the forums and I realized my memory was faulty. It was definitely a Mark II. -- Roger |

Thanks, it was easier than laying out the original. If I can get the fins right, I'm planning a 3 inch, It looked far better before a couple dozen launches. I use Duplicolor automotive lacquer finishes, including a 1500 grit wet sanded clearcoat, then 3M polish. I have a picture where you can read the wattage in the reflection on a fin on the Red Max. If I can find it, I'll post it. |
