Default Vintage Estes Stiletto Build

On to my next couple of builds. Right now I am going to start on my Stiletto build, the kit is in great condition and should be a fast build. The 1/8 X 1/8 is basswood so that should be easy to seal. The balsa will need a little work, but thats ok. I will of course post pictures of my build.

Oh man, I forgot Estes also came out with a Stiletto. I am a Centuri Stiletto nut, as you can see from my avatar. That looks like a fun build.

Very interesting.

Especially since that nose cone/tailcone is available again.

Call Estes, They are currently using it in the Tandem X starter kit. I ordered 10 a while back.

All wood parts have been given 3 coats of balsa sealer and are smooth to the touch. I cut the plastic nose cone as per the directions and added the engine mount. I will glue the shock cord mount in place and begin adding the fins. Should be done tonight and primed tomorrow.

Not bad for a days work. I have completed the Stiletto build and will begin priming tomorrow. Straight forward build and the paint scheme appears straight forward.

I have been real busy over the last few days, but I had to make time to paint my Stiletto, we are expecting rain in a day or so. The decals have 2 coats of decal film applied and I will apply them on Thursday. The nose is copper but my camera makes it look brown. Well back to building the Star Ship Enterprise.
