Just finished the decals. What a cool rocket. Made me swear at it a few times but that’s part of the fun I guess. First time using pressure sensitive decals and it saved me because I put one on in the wrong place completely but I was able to peal it back off and move it. I would never have been able to fix that screwup with a water slide. I just wish they layed a bit flatter on the model but I still have to coat it all with future which will smooth them out a bit I suppose.

Looks fantastic! I somehow missed your original post. I’ve gone thru it today, and it looks like a nicely done kit.

One thing I have done for white models is to use Rustoleum Semi-Gloss White. It has enough gloss that decals lay down smoothly. Gloss white can be tricky. But when it works, it looks amazing. (I have used Tamiya white for smaller models, but it is expensive!) I have had good luck with Rustoleum Gloss White overall, but have had a can or two spit globs of paint. I took them back and got replacements, and had no issues with the new can.

That’s stellar! Excellent job!

Thank you for the compliments, high praise coming from you all. Coat of future shine is drying, than I can assemble the parachute and it is ready to soar. Looking back at @jeffyjeep ‘s build is humbling. From the shaping of the leading edges to the decal placement it really is catalogue photo perfect. The red fin edge decals, especially the top fin did not fit well. I had to trim those a bit and my fin seemed too tall for them. I placed them the best I could. It never occurred to me to pre check and shape the fin so the decal would fit better but I swear that is what must be done to get it so perfect. Looking to fly this at a club launch mid October, I just can’t risk loosing it at the home field.
