Same here - they even fit in an A10-XT (I don't have any A3T handy to do a check). I haven't used any yet (these showed up while I was away at NSL in Alamosa). I'll take some to NXRS (Bend, OR at the end of the month) and give them a try. The 3 ft. lead is excessive, but one of the main things I used the old Q2G2 igniters for was airstarts of BP motors (minimal current needed and ematches were too big). For that the extra length will come in handy. |

A "Motor" is any device capable of providing propulsion.
An "Engine" is a device that burns propellant to provide propulsion. ALL Engines are Motors. NOT ALL Motors are Engines. Rocket Motor or Engine is correct. V8 Engine or Motor is correct. Jet Turbine Engine or Motor is correct. Outboard Motor or Engine (although never used) is correct. Electric "Motor" is correct but it is NOT an Engine as it does NOT burn propellant. It does consume electricity, but that is NOT propellant.

And here is the paradox: A steam engine, the steam is not a propellant but needs a heat source or chemical reaction to be generated. A steam engine dose not directly burn fuel.

Not my intent to argue, I agree with the nomenclature that GH has presented. this is like the argument if gun powder, is an explosive or a propellant ? Or could it be both?

Black gun Powder is an explosive. It combusts at the same rate whether contained or in the open.
Smokeless gun powder is a propellant. It's burn rate changes when contained.
