He's been trying to rid of those for over a month at that price.

Go figure, especially now...

Good luck!

Bob
p.s. @ $14.85 each + shipping I don't see any seller/retailer touching these...

That lot has been on eBay for months. There’s a few I wouldn’t mind having—but definitely not all of them!

That clown is outta his flippin' gourd.
If they were all vintage "Astron" kits from like 1965 to 1980, maybe.

Default Uh, No...

Hurry, Folks!

Not too much time left!

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Elon-Musk-...re/202955335526

Or, if the above isn't quite in your budget, here's another shot...

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Space-X-Fa...353.m1438.l2649

Interesting the former will charge shipping, but the latter one is free shipping! WooHoo!

I'm amazed at what some folks will ask for this model. It's a joke, really...

I hesitate to post this in the eBay ‘silliness’ thread, ‘cause how people spend their money is their business and I’m not going to pick at it.

But, I thought this was an interesting amount for a 1963 Estes catalog that just closed a bit ago: $760! I think that is the most I have ever seen a catalog go for.

Here’s the link, for as long as it is active: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Es...utorefresh=true

People that spend money foolishly like that for a paper catalog DESERVE TO GO BROKE.
Ridiculous INSANITY.
To me paper pages that can easily be reproduced are just that.
Easily copied with originals having minimal to little value.
If something is easily reproduced to 99.9% accuracy, that is good enough to me.
If a kit is easily cloned, the original kit has little value to me over a clone.
It is NOT irreplaceable precious artwork nor legal tender currency, nor will it ever be.

I agree with you GH 100%, I prefer to clone, not necessarily to save money, but it does up the skill level of the project by atleast 2 points . And hey it has to be atleast a 3 to even get my attention.

Back about fifteen years ago I saw a couple of catalogs go for around $1000. I remember Doug Holverson bought or sold a '62 for around that. I think it was that he found it in a yard sale and flipped it on eBay. There was another Estes book of around that time I saw go for $1000

As more BARs either leave the hobby or are unable to continue with the hobby, prices will fall into a deep ABYSS. Ridiculous valuation by those from the original days of the hobby of 1960's through 1970's will not continue by newer generations. Within 20 years, I would be surprised if ANY CATALOG is worth even $100. Cheap paper printed pages. Hmmmph.

I've thought the same thing for years. We're the guys with disposable income looking for a connection to our childhood. Things like old rockets and catalogs are going to be forgotten while Sega Genesis and Pokémon take over.
