Yeah, sure. So, when you see that boxed Enerjet Athena listed for a similar But It Now price I’ll expect to see a similar return notice from you. ![]() Earl

![]() That Enerjet Athena would be MINE.
Would happily pass along a SECOND one though.... That's one of very few kits I'd pay STUPID money for...

![]() My Xacto #7kp handle arrived today.
It's a very nice piece, still have to figure out the proper leads for the pencil portion. It is gold in the same color as a #3 pen knife. Seems to be exactly the same as a #3 pen knife handle except the end has a pencil tip.

![]() The pencil portion of the #7kp handle is about useless.
It uses some sort of nuisance "non standard" lead size. 0.9mm lead is loose and falls out and the next standard size of 1.3mm will not fit and is far too big.

![]() The Xacto #7kp knife-pencil takes oddball 1.1mm lead.
This size was common years ago in cheap Scripto mechanical twist-pencils. Picked some up off ebay. The goofy "Thermxchanger" advertising lettering was easily removed with Dope Thinner. It now looks like a NOS #7kp. The gold plating on the main shaft appears to be genuine gold plating. It is far shinier than the gold anodizing on the far more common #3 handle. Thanks to Earl for pointing me in the direction of this handle. Only one ever seen out of an Xacto counter-display or catalog. Was worth the $45 I ended up paying. Pricey, but worth it considering the rarity. The #10 blade in it was severely corroded and un-restorable. I replaced it with a new #10 blade. The previous owner included a JUNK #11 blade in the cap as well. Both blades were promptly thrown into the rubbish blade container after safely wrapping in adhesive tape.

![]() I was able to get a '94 and a '97 Xacto catalogs. Not exactly in our vintage tool collecting 'wheelhouse' era, but a couple more data points to add to the catalog collection.
I'll try to scan at least one of them in the next week (the other after it) and forward on to Scott for posting. Earl

![]() Looking forward to the new catalogs even though not "vintage".
In the 90s Xacto still offered most of their tools although the really big #89 and #99 sets were gone.

![]() It’s not bad. Missing a few items it appears: coping saw, one or two interchangeable heads for the hammer, a C clamp. Maybe some other smaller bits missing. Of course, depending on the final price the missing pieces could be replaced for maybe not a great deal more.
