OOH! SEXY! Estes Manta Bomber!
Okay, that may be stretching it a bit, but you have to give me . Nose cone is an original via Ebay a few years back. (I think this is the one that the Moldin' Oldies cone is based on. ) Excelsior decals, which went on almost too nicely to believe. The rest was just shop scraps. I think this has been built since around 2007, so this is a rebirth of sorts.

Very nice, always been one of my favorite kits. I have a cone lying around somewhere, I just can't ever get motivated enough to cut all those small fins. Wonder if Carl can?

Based on the pic JumpJet leaked, you will have a very similar nose cone again fairly soon.

Yeah. Always good to see the old cones make a comeback.

I had one of those cones also. Made a unique rocket with it and it was one of those models that somehow vanished in the Twilight Zone. Wish I still had it. Nice lookin build Bill.

I saw a scale-up of one of those once. Great looking and great flying. Better when flown to low/moderate altitude and a large parachute.
I would like to see the second round of Estes MPR kits include 2-3 "fantasy" rockets and a variant of the Phoenix Bird (bigger diameter BT-60 or BT-70HD) without the integral launch lug, a longer root length, and a fin shape similar to this: or this upper stage: Just Jerry |

That's a nice looking rocket. It reminds me a little of a Y-Wing from Star Wars.

She's a beaut!
She's a beauty, Bill --- I do have a question, though. Did you omit the engine inlet spikes on purpose? I know the chute used to get hung up on mine...
