Default Saturn History

Tomorrow marks the anniversary of the first Saturn V launch. On Nov 9, 1967, the unmanned Apollo IV lifted off with a full palate of tests to perform. Structural integrity, heat shield and thermal seal integrity, reentry operations, launch loads and dynamics, stage separation, rocket subsystems, emergency detection system, and mission support facilities all passed with flying colors.

Those of you that didn't finish your Saturns before the July 20 anniversary have a reprieve! It's time to fly if your weather cooperates.
