Exclamation Please ID this Estes rocket

From the cover of the Estes "Custom Parts" catalog:

http://www.ninfinger.org/~sven/rock...stom_estes.html

Can anyone please identify the Estes model attached below? Mike Jerauld had one of these at NSL 2001, but I *can't* remember the name of it. --A little help here? Thanks!

Cheers,

Looks like a D.O.M. bird. Kind of like the Argus, but the Argus doesn't have that t-fin.

Default I.d.

Hi Jay.

It looks like the D.O.M. of the Orbital Interceptor kit # 1359.

I just happen to have the instructions here on my wall next to my desk.

If you know what that means

Talk later

Mark

Yep, that's it. I thought this had a hit of vuja de to it. We did this discussion light years ago on OldRockets. Nice catch, Mark. I also missed it the first time.

If you know what that means
(overly melodramatic voice) "Dear God, NO! You're going to mutate a really cool classic design INTO A FREAKIN' *MONSTER!*"

(relaxed voice) "I'm guessing an upscale factor of roughly 305%," he said, pulling an arbitrary number out of the air...

Cheers,

The T tail looks a little off, but the rest looks like the Orbital Interceptor.

I've asked this before. There are two other models on that cover that are not accounted for through DOM plans or production kits. It is similar to the Orbital Interceptor and who knows, maybe the OI was based on the model above. They are different though.
