It has been really amazing to see the flights that have been made with this helicopter and to even have videos -- both on-board and from Perseverance -- of those feats.
I recall in 1976 seeing the color images coming from Mars from the Viking landers. That seemed amazing and at the time it was. But, the level of operations of the landers/rovers today, the imagery returned, and 'extra' technology such as this test helicopter craft could not really have been envisioned 46 years ago. Then again, 46 years ago I thought we'd probably have colonies on Mars by now.... Earl
