I really like the scale data you've been posting. A lot. ...but...

But one of your photos clearly has a copyright on it, and I don't see that you've at least attempted to give Brian Lockett/air-and-space.com credit for what you posted.

He states on his website: "It's not nice to use my pictures on your web site without asking."

Then is says, "All content included on Air-and-Space.com, such as text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, audio clips and software, is the property of Air-and-Space.com and protected by U.S. and international copyright laws. The compilation (meaning the collection, arrangement and assembly) of all content on this site is the exclusive property of Air-and-Space.com and protected by U.S. and international copyright laws."

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I did not intend to include that image and have, subsequently, removed it. In the future, if I want to use any of his material online, I will contact him, beforehand.

I figured it had to be early, but 1947 is really early for a guided AAM.

Chris,

Was that only a concept or was anything ever built / tested ?

Did it have a "name" ?

NACA A52K14

Appears to be early testing of the stability of wing/tail missile configurations.

Maybe they chose the square control surfaces for calculation sake?

Build it with free-swinging forward wings and it *might* just be stable.
Those tail fins look pretty small though.

So no, no name.
Yes, it was built. Just built as a wind tunnel model.
