Here's the message I sent to Randy the other day:

Hi Randy,

I'm guessing it's RIP for the old Semroc site. :-( A number of users on YORF had downloaded plan files and such off the old site before it crashed. They are wondering if it would be ok to post them on YORF as an archive to be available for all to access again?

Let me know if you'd be agreeable to this.

Thank you!

Scott

This is Randy's reply:

Hi Scott, yes, they have our full permission and support in republishing anything you guys can.

respectfully,

Randy Boadway

Looks like we're go with posting stuff! I'll work on creating a section for the Semroc goodies this weekend.

I think the plan should be to:

1) Have Scott D. Hansen create a separate "Semroc Plans" section under "Plans & Publications."

2) Compile a list to see how many of Carl's original PDFs we can scrounge up.

3) Post those PDFs individually. We should probably include Rocksim files (I haven't *begun* to look at my collection ), along with scanned fin patterns, decals (?), etc.

4) Then any remaining "missing" instruction sheets can be scanned and posted to "fill in the blanks."

I can head this up, but it could take a little time to get started.

Any additional thoughts or suggestions?

And I'll 'vote' for this basic process in posting all the material. Probably the most important part is to post first all the original PDF's of Carl's BEFORE we start posting any of our 'own' scans. It would seem we probably have the vast majority of Carl's original PDF's between us here, so that we don't have to depend on 'home scans' for too very many at all.

I've got 116 PDF's in a folder saved from the SEMROC site at the time of Carl's passing. It's a 221.8 mb folder. If Scott sets up a cloud drive or equivalent to send 'em to I can shoot mine in there lickety split.

Scott,

After re-reading this thread when my eyes aren't so blurry,

...I see that you proposed putting the Semroc plans under the "formerly secret" Semroc section, instead of the "Plans & Publications" subforum, as I had suggested.

Go right ahead, and I'll start throwing stuff up there.

Cheers and blessings, as always,

Ahh. I forgot about doing them as individual posts. That's going to take some time. I have a 24 hour shift Sunday, and if it doesn't rain I'll be on the tractor tomorrow.

I have about 125 total. Not sure what the full count is.
