New Design: F-77 DayDreamer
I Think I had better quickly post another design before you guys start doing more poetry or something.
Here is the F-77 DayDreamer as I call it. I was trying for a vintage missile (Snark/ Regulas 2) look and I am still pretty far off of achieving that look. The F-77 is quite a bit larger than the mini Jets but seems to fly well. Thanks and Enjoy, JP James Pierson NAR# 77907 |

We're like closet Vogons or something. I took a creative writing course in college, and just to play with peoples heads I turned in a poem for my first assignment. It was a heartfelt piece about taking my Duster to the local drag strip for a night of 1/4 mile fun. It was pretty funny to listen to all of the "serious" writers trying to critique my "poem". And I ACED that class, btw.

Flashback
Having Flashback:
I remember barely passing english in high school, but in college I aced english 111 and 120. My final term paper was an Sasquatch, titled, Sasquatch- Myth or Reality. Got a A- and I still have it in the attic somewhere. Was and am still not much on poetry, too many rules and words. James Pierson |

One of my friends did "The Life and Times of Buddah" and "Confucious: The Man, The Legend". I was a history major, so creatively titling my term papers was a little tougher. "Alexander Hamilton - Federalist Money Man" just doesn't have much of a ring to it.

New Plan -- Alpha Ex
The classic Alpha was released to the public in late 1966 or early 1967, and has enjoyed the second-longest continuous-production life of any Estes kit. Through the years Estes has produced revisions, stretched versions, plastic-finned versions, already built versions, chromed versions, and fat versions. The Alpha has one notable ancestor (the K-16 Delta), and one semi-half-cousin (the #2011 Super Nova). But what it doesn't have is a true, obvious decendant. It is somewhat surprising that this very stable design was never taken any farther.
Enter the Alpha Ex... This is a two-stage design using all of the parts from one full kit, plus a few additional parts to create the booster and payload sections. The RockSim file shows this to be every bit as stable using five combinations of motors. Sadly, the B6-0 is now OOP, but one can see from the table that it would produce deployment speeds less than 20 FPS in every case. Length: 20.125" Fin Span: 3.976" Weight: 1.22 oz B6-0 / A8-5.......895'......15 FPS B6-0 / B6-6......1218'.......5 FPS C6-0 / B6-6......1650'......15 FPS B6-0 / C6-7......1844'......17 FPS C6-0 / C6-7......2240'......13 FPS All combinations launch from standard 36" rods, 1/8" dia. Enjoy!

New Plan -- Alpha Goon
And, of course, you just gotta love those Goons!
Here's the next installment of the Goon family -- the Alpha Goon (quite a strong performer)... Length: 11.625" Fin Span: 4.64" Weight: 1.6 oz A8-3......172'.......9 FPS B4-4......436'.......6 FPS B6-4......445'......11 FPS C6-5......983'......17 FPS Model only requires a standard 36" rod, 1/8" dia. All motors require a 1/4 oz ballast weight in the tip of the nose cone to bring the margin above 1.00. Enjoy!

New Design: Specter 1
Nice job on the Alpha Ex and the Goons Craig. Looks like you have been busy.
The Specter 1 design is basically an revamp of the Anger Management design with a ring tail fin and some extra support struts for looks. I think this design would look really good with a black and white roll pattern on the upper BT, however I have not taken the time to learn the Rocksim decal stuff yet. Thanks Again and Enjoy, JP James Pierson NAR# 77907 |

New Plan -- One Frigid Goon
From the abominable snowman to the Yeti, from T-Rex to Nessie, we all undergo changes in our lives. Sometimes for the better, sometimes...
What used to be a slim, trim Norseman is now just a short and pudgy fella with a bad disposition. He can't help it, though: It's a drag to wear the same oversized Valkyrie hat for 24 years! Length: 10.375" Weight: 1.37 oz Fin Span: 5.64" A8-3......183'.......9 FPS B4-4......400'.......9 FPS B6-4......400'.......5 FPS C6-5......815'......16 FPS Model requires no additional ballast, and will launch from a standard 36" rod, 1/8" diameter on all motors listed. Enjoy!
