I had planned to when I moved to Alaska, and I bought a two-acre parcel before I became disabled. It's just as well that I didn't get horses--having to part with them after I became disabled would have been more painful than I'd care to contemplate.

I hope the breeders are doing something about their eye problems in their later years--whenever I read about old blind horses at equine sanctuaries, they always seem to be Appaloosas. The third eyelid seems to cause them trouble as they get older.
