I have seen the rubbery nose cones (long ogive, often a bit "Clintonian").

They also used the plastic fin unit from the skyrockets that Zenith made.

Here is a modern version, there was another slightly different version in the late 50's through the early 70's (IIRC).

if you look inside, you will find a modern version of a type A4 rock-a-chute motor.
