Looking at the design now, I'd also recommend "silkspanning" the root edge/body tube joint, as is suggested for booster stages that tumble, etc. That would help beef things up, as well.
I looked for a line drawing example in the Rocketry Handbook as well as the NAR Member Guidebook, to no avail. Instead, I substitute my attempt on my Estes Der Red Max as a humble example. Hope this helps!
