The worst FSI power-prang I ever had was in a Star Gazer I flew in the 70’s. I used an E5-0 to E5–6. I didn’t know much about motor selection back then but I learned quickly that these weren’t on the recommended motor selection list for a reason. One nice long burn arcing cruise missile flight into the center of a parking lot on asphalt really far away from where I launched it.

I do not have a clue why FSI ever produced an E5-0 Booster, the E5 barely had enough liftoff thrust to power a small rocket and it's own weight. the D18-0 was probably the best booster for
OUT O SIGHT Flights with the STAR GAZER.
I can recall that out of the 60+ FSI Motors that I flew I only had 4 CATO's
1 was a D18-0, 2 were E60's and 1 was a F100-6.
