Exclamation New Plan -- 2X Estes Hawkeye

This was an oddball of a kit for 13mm motors, and didn't really live up to expectations. I hated the fiber fins, which were warped and de-laminating back in the late eighties (early 90s?) when I bought it.

I've doubled the size to ST-10, and it seems to work on the simulator. All motors reach flight velocity on a standard rod. The model has a lot of drag, so it's not going to reach great heights, but it's still respectable.

Length: 17.38"
Diameter: 1.04" (ST-10)
Fin Span: 8.1"
Weight: 1.75 oz

A8-3......145'......Dv 18 FPS......Margin 1.42
B4-4......360'......Dv 11 FPS......Margin 1.31
B6-4......368'.......Dv 6 FPS......Margin 1.34
C6-5......809'.......Dv 8 FPS......Margin 1.14

I placed the launch lugs inside the nacelles, instead of up against the root edge of the lower fin. Those nacelles are just begging for some additional dressing-up, but that would also introduce additional drag...

Enjoy!
