Thanks for the compliments!

I now finish ALL balsa fins the same way:
(1) coat of diluted Elmer's Wood Filler, then sand smooth with 220.
(1) coat of Deluxe Materials Sand'n'Seal, then sand smooth with 320.
--another coat of Deluxe Materials Sand'n'Seal, then sand smooth with 320.
--another coat of Deluxe Materials Sand'n'Seal, then sand smooth with 320.
--a final coat of Deluxe Materials Sand'n'Seal, then sand smooth with 400.

I have never, ever, finished fins before assembling them to the model. Of course, some are harder to sand than others. The Sasha I was able to sand all of then myself, but on a more "crowded" build (like the Starlight I'm working on) I'll enlist the smaller and more nimble fingers of "The Vixen".
