Both designs look great!

In order to make room for the chute on the first - could you go with nose cone vs transition separation? To do this you would need to hollow out the transition as was already mentioned.

To simulate this in Rocksim you could create a custom bulkhead (same material as transition) the length and diameter of the hollowed out space. Get the mass for this component. (This component can then be deleted as it was just used to calculate mass.) You could then modify the transition using mass override feature to remove (subtract) mass of hollowed out section. You could save it as a custom hollowed transition.
