Well at least I finally finished one of my rockets. I have been real busy lately so building has been on a back burner. I am still building my Estes Apogee, but ran into some painting issues so it is taking longer than I like. This bird was built per plans and was an easy build. I sealed the balsa with 4 coats of balsa sealer. Sprayed one coat of grey primer, sanded then sprayed one coat of white primer and sanded smooth. Then I shot Krylon red to finish it up. The decals were in good shape but a little difficult to apply. They are thick and durable, but they don't want to bend. I used a fair amount of Solvaset to apply the decals. The final weight was 3.5 oz. This is a great kit and can still be purchased for under 20 bucks.
