I really have not been able to find the glazed cotton thread like that used by Centuri and Estes back in the day. There are probably 'equivalent' threads today, but I'm not sure how they are spec'd compared to the old carpet thread.
One can still buy 'carpet' thread, but it does not seem to the be same as the old stuff, at least to me.
