Well,

A completely new computer later (catastrophic hard drive failure), here's a couple of pictures of my SS-520.

Rocket is 1/10 scale; ST-20 based with Semroc baffle under a coupler and a really nice 3:1 Semroc nose cone that is made up of four different pieces of balsa glued together. Alway Rockets of the World drawing and pictures of the orbital vehicle from the Internet. Power is 24mm. Top-Flight parachute. Model is just under a meter tall.

The first picture shows the tubes prior to assembly.

The second picture shows the painted rocket under this evening's red Texas sunset. I was surprised at how red the picture came out. It's from the smoke from the forest fires in Arizona. Six colors of Rustoleum paint over Duplicolor primer. From the top, in order of appearance: Gloss Black, Chrome, Khaki, Bright Silver, Matte Nickel, Florescent Orange and Gloss White. No decals for the lettering, yet.

I'll take a picture with more 1/10 rockets in the morning.
