Same motors. First flight was optimal, second flight wasn't as vertical a boost, due to me, third the upper wind changed direction and I wound up gliding downwind for the most part as I was trying to avoid flying close to the early morning sun for my approach and landing. Sometimes I'll get some extra lifting air over the field as well and get an extremely long flight, a minute is about what I expected based on the wing area/loading, the first flight was pretty good. Pitch over at boost finish can also make a big difference as well as hard banking in turns....You are right and I noticed it too, as I time my flights, that the difference was much larger than I normally see.
