I took a little break on my build. I noticed the S-IC tube (BT-101) has a raised spiral running full length of the tube. I debated on whether to just leave it, try to fill the entire tube, or replace. Semroc sells the tube, so I ordered one. The surface is much nicer!
In the meantime, I saw this link to a ton of manned spaceflight documents on either the Scaleroc or Spacemodeler's group:

This is an amazing reference source.
On that site, I found this pdf document called Description of the S-IC stage structure which has neat diagrams of the fin/engine fairings and the heat shield at the base of the S-IC.
