When we were in college we went to a party one time only to find that we weren't welcome, so we walked out with a mannequin that had been used as a decoration/coatrack. one of the guys I was with adopted her and she'd occasionally show up at our parties over the next few years. At one party a couple of the guys distracted the new owner and I gave her a Fabulous Fishheads tattoo. The owner was not amused.
Years later I went to a Halloween party at the guys house, and lo and behold, there she is. She'd only ever been the top half of a torso anyway, so he'd turned her into a chip and dip tray, a gruesome occurrence that involved a jigsaw. I was chipping and dipping and saw something I didn't recognize on the table.
"What's this?" I asked.
"Salsa," said Chuck.
I dipped. It was awful.
"This is awful," I said.
"Yeah, well it's potpourri," said Chuck. I've had an aversion to it ever since.
