How about 2x18mm, 3x18mm and 1x24mm interchangable motor mounts?
That should make everyone happy. 
Oh, wait. The HPR folks will want 29mm and 38mm motor mounts. However, remember at the currrent time the 38mm motor mount version will exceed California model rocket regulations.
